This page shows the basic text formatting rules. See the detailed text formatting rules for a more complete list.

Below are examples. Click the "edit" tab to see the source for this page.

Section One

Emphasis

Here's some text in italics, boldface, underline, and code.

Links

Use double brackets to link to other wiki pages: detailed text formatting rules. You can also link to external sites.

Lists

Bulleted lists look like this (note the blank line before first bullet):

  • Item one
  • Item two

Numbered lists look like this:

  1. Item one
  2. Item two

Sectioning

Note how sections and subsections are determined by indentation.

Section Two

You'll be relieved to learn that it's also possible to write formulas in LaTeX?, like H: (x,y) \mapsto e^{-x^2-y^2} or \mathfrak{M} \vDash \phi_1 \wedge \phi_2 or

      f(n) = \begin{cases}
               1       &\text{ if n = 1} \
               nf(n-1) &\text{ otherwise.}
            \end{cases}

To define macros, edit (cautiously) the LatexTemplate page.
